THE RULES
STROKE CARDS:
"Zero" thru "Seven" Stroke Cards are face value.
There are ten of each stroke card.

PENALTY CARDS:
"It's in the Water" and the "Out of Bounds"
Each penalty card has a value of one stroke.
There are six of each.

BONUS STROKE CARDS:
"Eagle" card has a negative two strokes value from any card. There are six Eagle cards.

"Birdie" card has a negative one stroke value from any card. There are twelve Birdie cards.

Scoring is determined by the addition of the differences between the columns of cards.
TARGET SCORE for every hole is ZERO.
Example of a Par 5 ... below ...........
The score above is Zero or Target Score for the hole. It is the difference between the stroke cards from each other
( ... cards 0 thru 7 )
Bonus cards ( Eagle and Birdie ) are a subtraction from stroke cards. The two Bonus cards in a column are added together.
Penalty cards are always one stroke and must be kept.

Scorecard's Par - determines cards dealt.
To START A Round Of Golf
All Golfers select a card from the deck.
First lowest card determines the dealer.
Golfer to the dealers left starts the game.
Deal rotates to left after each hole.
Play rotates clockwise.

THE DEAL
Cards are dealt NO PEEK

Deal cards face down - No Peek.
The amount of cards dealt for that hole is determined by the Scorecard.
EXAMPLE:

ParThree's ... Six cards are dealt,
Par Four's .... Eight cards are dealt and
Par Five's ..... Ten cards are dealt.

REMEMBER
All cards are dealt face down - No Peek. Remaining cards are placed in the center of the table creating a draw pile with one card turned up creating the discard pile.
In the event that the card turned up for the discard pile is a penalty card, simply cover it with the next draw card until no penalty card shows in the discard pile.
Once all golfers have been dealt their cards they arrange them into the proper Address.
The Address is determined by the scorecard par for the hole.
There are three different ways to Address.
... as illustrated ................

Whatever Par is for the hole double it
and that is how many cards are dealt.

Par Threes get SIX Cards
Par Fours get EIGHT Cards
Par Fives get TEN Cards
Below are examples of THE ADDRESS:

Successful and Unsuccessful.
Begin Play by Teeing Off
Golfer #1 is to the dealers left and tees off first by simply turning over one of his/her cards, creating a face up card.
Two things can happen .......
You will either have a successful tee off or an unsuccessful tee off.
Successful Tee Off
Successful tee off is achieved when Golfer #1 and any following golfers turns face up any one of his/her down cards and the turned up card is a stroke or bonus card. ( ... see stroke or bonus cards ... )
Unsuccessful Tee Off
Unsuccessful tee off is achieved when Golfer #1 and any following golfers turns face up any one of his/her down cards and the turned up card is a penalty card. ( ... see penalty cards ... )
After a Successful Tee Off
Golfer #1 can now either draw a card from the draw pile or take the card from the discard pile. If drawing from the draw pile, you must decide if you want to keep the card or discard it.
If you decide to keep the drawn card you must exchange it for the up card or any down card.
If exchanging it for the up card, simply replace the up card with the drawn card and discard the previous up card into the discard pile.
Your turn is now over
If you decide to keep the drawn card and replace a down card, you must declare which down card you are exchanging without viewing it first.
After declaring which down card you are exchanging, the down card must be discarded unless it is a penalty card. Penalty cards drawn or turned over must be kept.
Your turn is now over
If you decide not to keep the drawn card you must place it into the discard pile.
Your turn is now over

Exchanging face up & face down cards.
After an Unsuccessful Tee Off
The golfer must place the penalty card to the side of the golfer's set-up cards for the entire hole.
All penalty cards drawn or turned over must be kept. Golfer #1 can either draw a card from the draw pile or take the card from the discard pile.
If the golfer replaces his/her penalty card spot with the card from the discard pile, this will leave the discard pile without a discard.
If this happens the dealer must turn over another card into the discard pile. If it too is a penalty card, the dealer will draw another card for the discard pile until a stoke or bonus card appears.
Play will then continue as described in the "After a Successful Tee Off."
THE PLAY
Once everyone has a successful tee off, golfers will take turns clockwise exchanging their face up and face down cards with cards from the draw pile or the discard pile.
REMEMBER,
any drawn or uncovered penalty cards remain with you till the hole is completed and the penalty cards are counted against you.

FINAL PUTT
Final Putt for all golfers happens after any golfer successfully turns all his/her cards face up.
This forces all golfers to one last final putt. ( ... One more turn ... )
Play is the same with the exception after any golfers one play is complete if he/she has any remaining cards face down they must be simply turned face up with no exchanges unless a penalty card is revealed.
If penalty card(s) revealed they must be placed to the side and their vacant spots replaced with a card from the draw pile.
PENALTY CARDS can not be discarded.
